Private Family Husky Safari
Today you will visit a tiny husky farm owned by a local family near Rovaniemi, where the huskies are not just dogs, but also partners and family members! The old farm with restored buildings is located 13 km out of town, on a beautiful lakeshore, with picturesque scenery all around. This combined with the nature-valuing lifestyle of the family living there makes the atmosphere truly special and welcoming.
Once at the farm you meet the special furry friends who will pull your sled for you during the safari. You will learn how to drive sled and have your own dog team to go. The sled ride covers easy ground across the lake and into the forest with a distance of about 10 km
depending on the weather conditions and your skills.
After the ride we will warm up in the family home, delicious pancakes are served and lots of stories about the huskies shared!
