Welcome to Olbia, Sardinia
Olbia is a city in northeastern Sardinia, known for its beautiful beaches, archaeological sites, and vibrant atmosphere. Here are some highlights of what you can expect to see and do in Olbia:
Overall, Olbia is a great destination for travelers who want to experience the beauty and history of Sardinia, while also enjoying the vibrant culture and exciting atmosphere of a modern Italian city.
During this tuk-tuk trip to the wine country outside of Olbia, learn about the distinctive island cuisine of Sardinia. As you travel through the city to a classic winery perched in the surrounding hills, take in the sights of the surrounding, vineyard-covered landscape. After seeing the cellar and barrel rooms, unwind with a sample of three Sardinian wines and regional specialities.
Itinerary that is typical for this tour, but may be slightly different:
What’s included
Olbia is Gallura’s commercial hub and the entrance to Sardinia. The Greek navigators who used Olbia as a base for their commerce for almost two centuries gave it the name “the pleasant town,” Olbia, which signifies. Later the Carthaginians arrived, followed by the Romans in 238 BC, who ruled Sardinia until the Vandals arrived in 456 AD. As a result of these historical eras, Olbia is home to several monuments and an archaeological museum that contains priceless artifacts. Being in Olbia for more than thirty years has allowed me to observe the town’s incredible growth, which is mostly attributable to the town’s several stunning beaches and breathtaking scenery.
The entire excursion will take place in a cozy, air-conditioned Fiat Scudo Panorama Executive 2015, which can accommodate up to 9 people.
We will conclude with a traditional Gallura meal in an agriturismo set amidst the pristine Berchiddeddu Hills (about 15 km from Olbia). It is regarded as one of the top restaurant farms in northern Sardinia and the greatest location to sample the genuine flavors of Gallura and Sardinian cuisine in general.
Bring your bathing suit! It’s possible to think of the trip as a private and personal encounter. You may approach less populated coves up close on this smaller boat. The captain, who is available to the client all day, develops a pleasant rapport with them.
The Captain also provides a lunch buffet with regional food and drink including alcoholic beverages, bottled water, and coffee or tea. The private boat has a restroom on board and you will have use of a paddleboard and snorkeling equipment.

In the northeastern corner of Sardinia, Italy, sits Costa Smeralda, a stunning beachfront area. It has gorgeous blue waters, sand beaches, and rocky coves, and it spans for nearly 55 kilometers down the coast. The region is well known for its upscale resorts, upscale stores, and opulent boats.
A group of businessmen formed Costa Smeralda in the 1960s with the goal of making Sardinia a premier tourist destination. Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, who was drawn to the region’s natural beauty and saw its potential as a luxury travel destination, oversaw the project. The Costa Smeralda is currently one of the world’s most prominent and pricey tourist attractions.
In addition to its upscale resorts, Costa Smeralda provides tourists with a variety of activities. There are several marinas in the region, which is a well-liked spot for sailing and yachting, where guests may rent boats or make reservations for trips. Due to the region’s waters being so clean, scuba diving and snorkeling are other very well-liked pastimes.
The Costa Smeralda is a stunning and upscale location that combines the natural beauty, elegance, and refinement of other locations. It’s a wonderful location for unwinding and taking in the splendor of one of Italy’s most beautiful coasts.
Walking through the historic areas of Cagliari, La Marina, and Castello until we arrive at the San Benedetto indoor market is one of the most engaging ways to learn about our customs and culture.
Taste the authentic Sardinian cuisine while strolling through the chaotic and vibrant stalls. I can interpret the Sardinian that the fisherman yell at the tourists for you. It’s amusing and intriguing how they court business by displaying fresh fish. A distinctive encounter!
The finest opportunity to get to know and feel the Cagliaritani, the people that live in the Sardinian capital city, is unquestionably at this market.
We’ll also take a little pause for an espresso and a delectable pastry in a typical café. Yummi!
